Creative Expression for Special Needs

The following classes are for older youth and younger adults.

Cartooning

February 9 – 23
Thursdays: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Cost: $30
Location: Room 176

Cartooning is a three-week class where students will learn the fundamentals of shapes, lines, and how to draw 3D shapes that turn into cartoon characters. Take home works of art every week and then a final matted product at the end of the session.

Movie Nights

March 6 – 27
Tuesdays: 6:15 – 8:00 p.m.

Cost: $6 per week
Location: Yahweh Café/Lounge

Come join Judy and Wendy and take in some great movies! Cost includes snacks (popcorn and bottled water or sugar-free beverages). You may pay weekly at the door. Movie choices will be announced in advance. Register and we will call or email you the movie titles.

Easter Baked Goodies

Wednesday, April 4
6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Location:	Kitchen Serving Area
	Fellowship Hall entrance at back of church - wheel chair accessible

Cost: $15

An evening of creative cooking, making special Easter cookies for the holiday.

Music and Line Dancing

April 23 – May 7
Mondays: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Cost: $5 per week

Location:	Fellowship Hall

This is a program to encourage movement while learning the latest dance moves. Music and line dancing classes teach step-by-step directions while having fun. Participants will learn songs and do movement with music. This activity will build self-confidence, regulate behavior, interact with peers, develop creativity, and explore music as a means of communication and self-expression.

Cooking Café Style

May 2 – 23
Wednesdays: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Location:	Kitchen Serving Area
	Fellowship Hall entrance at back of church - wheel chair accessible

Cost: $50

Cooking Café style classes teach simple-to-prepare, light dinners. Nutrition is stressed, along with healthy eating. Step-by-step directions, chopping, and dicing for salad prep will be presented weekly.
