Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program

January 9 – April 30
Mondays: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $50 (or two payments of $25)
Location: Fitness Room (upstairs above gym)

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a fun-filled, low-impact course that helps most people with arthritis increase their joint flexibility and find relief from arthritis pain.  Developed by experts and updated in 2009, the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program features gentle, joint-safe movements and can be adopted for various fitness levels.  While every individual is unique, many people who take Arthritis Foundation classes enjoy the following benefits:

  • Improved function
  • Increased flexibility and range of motion
  • Increased strength
  • Improved outlook
  • Less frequent doctor and emergency room visits

Wellness Through Yoga       

Session 1: January 9 – February 13
Session 2: February 20 – March 26
Session 3: April 9 – May 14       
Mondays:  6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Cost:  $54 per session                                                       
Location:  WROC Fitness Room (above gym)

Pay Per Class Option
If you choose to pay per class, instead of pre-paying, the cost per class will be $12. You must complete and submit a registration form at your first class.

Shoulders tight?  Back stiff?  Knees won’t bend? Why not enjoy the many benefits of yoga with gentle, safe stretching exercises to improve flexibility, balance, strength, and range of motion, relieve muscle tightness, and relax the mind and body?  Students will learn and practice a variety of individual and sequential yoga exercises and postures, as well as breathing awareness and relaxation techniques.  This style of yoga is ideal for beginners and anyone wanting a gentle to intermediate yoga class.  This class is suitable for both men and women. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks, and strap. Come ready to learn, experience, enhance, and gain wellness. Minimum 7


Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is a low-impact, easy to follow, Latin-inspired dance fitness-party that keeps you in the groove of life! Just like Zumba, it's a great workout but the choreography and tempo is designed for beginners and active senior adults. If you have never taken Zumba, Zumba Gold is the right place to start.


Silver Scholars Computer Classes

No classes are scheduled right now. If you are interested in a class, please contact Lisa Boyd at 412-835-6630.

Silver Scholars teaches computer classes specifically designed for individuals over the age of 50, but all are invited. The classes are fun, interactive, begin with the basics, and will help you become a computer wiz! To enhance learning, all classes are limited to 10 students, so register early. A class consists of two, two-hour sessions and a booklet. View classes.
